Defendants Willie Morgan and Ashley Proctor, both 26, both face up to 12 years in prison for aggravated robbery when they are sentenced May 19 by Criminal Court Judge James Lammey.
The incident occurred on July 28, 2013, when a 49-year-old man walking in the 800 block of Annie Street in North Memphis was approached by a gunman who ordered him to the ground.
Morgan and Proctor then went through the victim’s pockets, taking $9,800 in cash and an identification card. The couple and the gunman then ran off through an open field.
Both suspects were identified by the victim, but the gunman was never caught.
The case was handled by Asst. Dist. Attys. Tyler Parks and Gavin Smith.
