Grand Jury Indicts Teen on Murder Charges

Oct. 12, 2018 – A Memphis teen has been indicted on first-degree murder charges in the shooting death earlier this year of an acquaintance in front of a convenience store in southeast Memphis, said Shelby County Dist. Atty. Gen. Amy Weirich.
Javante Galmore, 18, is being held on $500,000 bond.
He is accused of shooting Delrico Dansberry multiple times during a dispute on Jan. 8, 2018, in front of a store on South Mendenhall south of Winchester. Dansberry, 18, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The case is being handled by Asst. Dist. Atty. Steve Ragland of the DA’s Crime Strategies Prosecution Unit which incorporates and expands the work of the Multi-Agency Gang Unit, the Organized Crime Unit, Project Safe Neighborhood/Gundone, GunStat, the Safe Streets Task Force and the Violent Crime Unit.
