Defendants Nicholas Waugh, 31, Eric Curry, 35, and Michael McGehee, 28, were indicted on charges of premeditated first-degree murder, first-degree murder in the perpetration of a felony, especially aggravated robbery, especially aggravated kidnapping, theft of property over $1,000. All are being held in the Shelby County Jail.
They are charged in the death of Robert Glidden, whose body was found July 31, 2017, on Business Center Drive near Elmore Road in the Raleigh area. Investigators said Glidden was bound and severely beaten over an extended period of time before his body was discovered.
He was robbed of money, credit cards and his vehicle.
The case is being handled by Chief Prosecutor Karen Cook and Asst. Dist. Atty. Jose Leon of the Special Prosecution Unit in Criminal Court Division 8 which seeks maximum sentencing for repeat felony offeners.
