Man Sentenced to 25 Years for Rape in 2000
Jan. 18, 2019 – A Memphis man convicted through DNA of raping a woman in an attack in the year 2000 was sentenced Friday to 25 years in prison without the possibility for parole, said Shelby County Dist. Atty. Gen. Amy Weirich.

Those are all worthy goals, but we can’t lose sight of the many victims of juvenile crime.
Former Teacher Indicted on Sex Charges
Jan.17, 2019 – A former Shelby County Schools teacher was arraigned today in Criminal Court on two counts of sexual battery by an authority figure stemming from an alleged affair with a 16-year-old student, said Shelby County Dist. Atty. Gen. Amy Weirich.
Motorist Pleads Guilty to Drunken-Driving Fatality
Jan.16, 2019 – A 29-year-old Memphis man pled guilty Wednesday to a drunken-driving crash that killed another motorist on I-240 just south of Poplar Avenue in 2015, said Shelby County Dist. Atty. Gen. Amy Weirich.

Memphis Man Found Guilty of First Degree Murder
MEMPHIS, TN – On Friday, March 22, 2013, a Shelby County jury convicted Eric Williams of one (1) count of first-degree murder for the shooting death of William Frank Yancey.
