Career Burglar Gets 24 Years in Prison

MEMPHIS, TN -October 18, 2013 - A serial burglar with nearly three dozen previous criminal convictions was sentenced to 24 years in prison for burglarizing a liquor store and a coffee shop two years ago.

MEMPHIS, TN – A 35-year-old man has been convicted of raping a wheelchair-bound woman who is paralyzed from the waist down.
The woman, 30, told a Criminal Court jury this week that Terrence Wooden, an acquaintance, forced her face down on the bed in her apartment and raped her.
The incident occurred on Jan. 23, 2011, at her apartment near Third and Winchester in southwest Memphis.
Wooden remains in the Shelby County Jail and faces up to 12 years in prison with no parole when he is sentenced Nov.1 by Judge Lee Coffee.
The case was prosecuted by assistant district attorneys Eric Christensen and Lessie Rainey.
