Midtown Deli to Reopen, Address Nuisance Issues

Jan. 16, 2019 – A Midtown deli closed last week as a public nuisance will be allowed to reopen after agreeing Tuesday to take steps to improve safety and discourage illegal activities on the premises, said Shelby County Dist. Atty. Gen. Amy Weirich.
Jan. 15, 2019 – A 19-year-old Collierville man convicted last month of killing a couple in a traffic crash was sentenced Tuesday to 10 years in prison, with all but nine months to be served on probation, said Shelby County Dist. Atty. Gen. Amy Weirich.
Jan. 14, 2019 – A Frayser man has been indicted on first-degree felony murder charges in the 2017 beating death of his girlfriend’s 3-year-old daughter, said Shelby County Dist. Atty. Gen. Amy Weirich.

Midtown Deli Closed As Public Nuisance

Jan. 10, 2019 – A Midtown deli was closed today as a public nuisance because of numerous incidents involving drug trafficking, prostitution, assaults, robberies and thefts, said Shelby County Dist. Atty. Gen. Amy Weirich.
Jan. 8, 2019 – A 60-year-old man pled guilty Monday to abducting, raping and robbing a 36-year-old woman he had stalked two years ago at a Midtown grocery store, said Shelby County Dist. Atty. Gen. Amy Weirich.

Driver Indicted in Crash That Killed Passenger

Jan. 3, 2019 – A 21-year-old man has been indicted on reckless vehicular homicide and other charges stemming from a one-vehicle rollover crash in which one of his passengers was killed and two others were critically injured, said Shelby County Dist. Atty. Gen. Amy Weirich.

Officer’s Killer Gets Additional 38 Years

Dec. 17, 2018 – The convicted killer of Memphis Police Officer Sean Bolton was sentenced to an additional 38 years in prison Monday to be served consecutively to the sentence of life without parole he received last month, said Shelby County Dist. Atty. Gen. Amy Weirich.
Dec. 13, 2018 – A Collierville man convicted last week on two counts of reckless vehicular homicide in the deaths of a man and his wife is scheduled for sentencing Jan. 15, said Shelby County Dist. Atty. Gen. Amy Weirich.
